Dr. Yaunke's Retirement Announcement

December 2016

One of our Veterinarian’s, Dr. Charlene Yaunke, will soon begin the next chapter of her life. With bittersweet emotions we would like to announce her last day will be December 15, 2016 where after she will enjoy retirement.

Dr. Yaunke received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1992 and has practiced in the Milwaukee area since. She joined the Forest Home Animal Clinic team in May 2009. She has been an avid member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA), and Secretary of the Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).

Dr. Yaunke is looking forward to spending more time on gardening, caring for her pets, reading murder mysteries, attending music festivals, and relaxing at her second home in Door County with her husband, Verne.

A lot of memories have been made over the years and it’s been an honor to have Dr. Yaunke a part of the Forest Home Animal Clinic team. We are saddened to see her go yet thrilled for her to start the next exciting journey in life.

Dr. Laura Bonofiglio will continue to be available for your pet’s care and we look forward to adding another Veterinarian to our team.

  • "We love the staff and facility. Our pups have gone to the vet, doggy daycare and grooming. A+ in all areas! Today was their Halloween party and our pups came home with pictures, treats (people and dogs) and prizes. Awesome day! Thank you to the staff for giving me peace of mind."

  • "By far the most helpful, understanding, and caring staff I have com into contact with since owning my dog. Sheryl especially (who we have worked with for most of this) has gone above and beyond to be helpful and patient with us. I couldn't be more calm and trusting in a staff. Thumbs up guys!"
