Training - Step by Step

Training - Step by Step gives you the opportunity to customize your training class to your training needs.
After Step 1, you can take the other steps in any order you like.

Each Step consists of two classes with each class being approximately 60 minutes long.
Each Step is offered on various days and times so please refer to the Training Class Schedule for more information. Classes can fill up fast. Please call the clinic at 414-425-2340 to reserve your place today.

This course is designed for dogs 4 months and older.
All packages to be completed within 6 months of the start date.

Cost of Steps and Packages
Step 1 - $70.00
Step 2 through Step 7 (when these steps are taken outside of a Package) - $60.00 each

3 Step Package includes: Step 1 plus 2 other Steps of your choice - $170.00 (a savings of $20.00)
5 Step Package includes: Step 1 plus 4 other Steps of your choice - $270.00 (a savings of $40.00)
7 Step Package includes: All 7 Steps - $370.00 (a savings of $60.00)

Step 1 (this Step is required for all other Steps)

This class will work on the following:
- attention exercises
- how to use treats effectively and how to fade them out
- sit
- down
- stand

Step 2 (prerequisite Step 1)

This step will help you to master a reliable:
- stay
- come

Step 3 (prerequisite Step 1)

This step will cover several methods of:
- loose leash walking
- heel

Step 4 (prerequisite Step 1)

This class will work on the following manners:
- wait at the door
- proper greeting
- go lay down

Step 5 (prerequisite Step 1)

This class will work on the following, more difficult commands:
- training with play
- settle
- training games

This class will work on skills you will find helpful daily:
- leave it, take it, drop it
- handling and grooming (brushing, bathing, nail trims, brushing teeth)

This class will concentrate on building a strong bond with your dog through tricks:
- roll over
- play dead
- shake
- high 5
- wave
- weave walk
- over and under
- spins
